B.Tech Petrochemical Engineering is a four-year program. Petrochemical Engineering plays a vital role in maintaining the global economy, and it’s hard to imagine a world without petroleum. Petrochemical Engineering is a branch of engineering concerned with the extraction of derivatives from gasoline, such as benzene, butane, and so on.
B.Tech in Petrochemical Engineering has several advantages. Its graduates have a better pay package. They can work in the oil and gas sector and implement efficient methods to extract the oil and gas. This program offers students a broad overview of petroleum engineering and also covers other subjects, including cost estimating and budgeting.

Career after B.Tech Petrochemical Engineering
After completing the course, you will be able to enter the world of oil exploration and production. You can work as a consultant or an advisor for companies, or pursue further studies to improve your knowledge and skills. Petrochemical engineering jobs are in great demand, as India is one of the largest producers of minerals and natural gas.
The Gulf countries have many petrochemical companies, which is a great source of employment opportunities for petrochemical engineers. Many leading companies and organizations release jobs for multiple sectors. The students can also do a government job after completing this course alongside various private jobs.
Oil and gas extraction, professional, scientific, and technical services, and petroleum refining are the most common employment for candidates. Petrochemical Engineer handles several responsibilities, including developing the equipment for drilling purposes. Petrochemical engineers are also responsible for locating the ideal site for drilling and installation/maintenance of the equipment on the oil rigs.
